With my recent move and my coupled addiction to Blogging and also to the BOTB, I have found that my Internet time has diminished lately. Today will be no exception.

I am cleaning my old place and hopefully will be heading back there to drop keys off for Friday. I am also going to IKEA to return and pick up a few things, and then to Wal-Mart for some odds and ends. Kinda a sexy day of shopping huh? Then tonight I have a guy that is coming to pick up something that I sold on Craiglist.org. I can't wait to be done with getting the boxes unpacked, the cable set up, the being able to use my bed as something other than a place to "sort" my stuff out on.

So, all in all I am running crazy- and in many different directions. I just can't wait for tomorrow when the Sox are in the Bronx for a weekend series against the Yankees.

Am I the only one that has these days when it comes to Blogging and you feel you are in Internet traffic?

I had just finished my afternoon of scrubbing soap scum from the tub. cleaning the fridge, and cleaning the bedroom and the living room. I had a hell of a time with the patio furniture, because their was at least 15 spiders in the cracks, hiding not to be killed by ME...Well, I put all the furniture in the bath, turned on the HOT water and let them have it. I also found that they don't take well to 409 tub and tile cleaner either.

So, after I was done Minxy and I headed to Starbucks because we were both feeling less than spunky (and it showed). We get there, and are in line to order. At this point I notice that the woman in front of us had given her order which must have included a sandwich (turkey) that was (now get this) unwrapped with her mouth while getting money out of her wallet to pay. She then proceeded to the station to get her Latte' and at this point she is just about done with one half! She was putting this turkey sandwich down like it was her last meal.

Now, Minxy and I are at the station to put milk and sugar in our beverages. Minxy is on the left of me and sandwich eater enters the area and stands to the right of me. I fill my coffee with half and half and then I see this arm in front of my face. I don't flinch a bit. Now, she needs a Sweet and Low...Again comes the arm, this time with her sandwich between her teeth and looking not to drop any in my OPEN COFFEE! She pulls back and now, yes now she needs a stirrer. Oh god.
She reaches for the 3rd time and Minxy was like WTF? I mean if you were there, you might have said something or you would have been dumbfounded as I was...

My mouth is still agape in my mind as I write this.

Back to unpacking, what a day.

After overcoming the perils of moving, I wanted to let everyone know that I am alive (from unpacking and finding my bed).

I need to clarify one thing, I packed all the boxes and moved some things here little by little, but I want to thank some people for their hard work today.

To Vince and Jason, thank you for your lending me your time on Sunday. I truly appreciate it and I look forward to the day that I can repay the favor. For now, you will be repaid with gifts of future mind altering liquids.

To Full Pint (no where near a half pint to be called that), thank you for your comedy, your ability to get in the way, and your ongoing effort to instill in us that your mother "ditched you" (and left you with me) 6 hours after it happened. Thank you for your help.

To Julie, I am sorry that you couldn't be here for the move. I thought of you many times during the day. I can say that you walked for a great cause and I am glad that you are a friend. I look forward to seeing you soon.

To Minxy, you are a trooper, a warrior, and a leader that would match some of the greatest world leaders to mastermind most tactical missions. Thank you for your input, your efforts, and as always your huge heart to withstand all that I have put you through during the past few weeks. I know that you were hurting and you were on edge, but thank you for all you did today.

I will now take a shower and re-charge for yet another day of unpacking here and cleaning my old place. Yay...

I said that I would be away till Sunday or Monday, but I have something that I wanted to share with you. I picked up the van today and made it back to the loading dock which I had reserved from 3-5 p.m. So, I called the desk to see if the staff could open up the door and I was told (@ 3:30 p.m) that the people that had it before me were still in there. I was shocked. How long does it take to load up a 10" ft Budget truck between husband and wife?

Here is the conversation:

Me: Hey Isaac
Staff: Hello, they have requested one more trip to their apartment.
Me: What? Wasn't the time slot from 1-3 for them?
Staff: Yes, they are running a little late.
Me: (thinking in my head, hmm..I didn't know that they were paying the rental on my 1 DAY van either) OK-Let me know when they are done.

Wife turns the corner:
Wife: Is their a problem?
Me: No....Didn't you have the dock from 1-3?
(insert attitude) Wife: Yeah, we ran a little over, we should be done in a half hour. (chucks box in Budget truck and gives the "I got bad menstral cramps look...)
Me: (Thinking) Is is really going to take 30 minutes for one last trip upstairs? I mean really...
"Ok, thanks (smirk)
Me to Staff: Can you tell George at the desk to call the person scheduled at 5 because I am going to need more time? (walking away..shaking my head)
Staff: Sure thing...

WTF? I realized that people still are determined to be FUCKING RUDE...

I was pissed because she bit into my time and the person after me was going to be pissed that I might go over. How was I supposed to load the van in 1 hour (because the were done at 3:59)?

I hate people sometimes, no...most of the time.

It's just about all packed up and ready to go...

I have packed more boxes today than I thought I would have. All I have to say is-you were right. I have more stuff than I thought. I have lots of boxes. I am looking forward to moving on to my new place and getting settled. I also wanted to let you know that on Sunday, I won't be blogging. I will be back on Monday and hopefully, able to get the necessities unpacked. I will have more info on my obnoxious neighbor on Sunday or Monday and info on what cook ware he actually bought. I am using the box that it came in to move and let's just say, his All-Clad isn't cheap...

I have to say, I have a bird with more personality than most people. He is great to have around and he has his moods. this afternoon, he was making a lot of noise and wanted OUT! His wish was granted and here are the many moods of Chi Chi...

This is a favorite of mine because he is a little shy here.

Great action shot. He loves to scratch.

After the scratching was over he was staring out the window and I didn't know what he was looking at. This picture really shows his Eye and the size of the pupil. It will also show you the size of the claws on this bird even with a cage filled with wood and cement perches.

This was Chi Chi's next victim, or he thought...

This is a bit out of focus, but I though it added to how bad he was interested in that spider.

No comment...he is just wild.

I was sitting there and my friend decided that he would take a closer look....he decided to get my attention by tapping on the lens.

(That is "Neighbors from Hell in Japanese...")

I wanted to write about my neighbors before I moved out. I know that they don't read this so I am going to use their names. I can tell you a few things about them. Mark is 37 and is not working. He is a painter and said that he does "odd" jobs. He told me that he is from Colorado and has bought and sold some real estate back home. I am guessing that he has a few bucks $$$ stored away. His girlfriend, who's name is Shy (pronounced Shay) is 25 and has a Masters. He told me that 7 times when we first met and talked for about and hour and a half. We had a nice conversation about many different topics and I though that we would be hanging out together because it "seemed" that we got along well. I was so wrong. I thought...Maybe I wasn't in his class, or maybe he was stuck up or ...who the fuck knows. I met his girlfriend at the pool and realized why he was with her and vise versa. She is a size 2 and has the fakest tits I have ever seen.

*Ever heard that bad porn music...put that in your head and read the next paragraph.

I was familiar with them before I ever met them. See, I was laying in bed one night and I here weik weik weik weik...weik weik weik. ...and this was intermittent for about oh, 5 minutes. I heard a little from her, but nothing that would qualify her as a great porn actress. The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes. When I met him and we talked he mentioned that he painted his place and when he got to the bedroom, he said, "Man, I gotta get rid of that bed or get a better frame."

I was thinking the same thing. Exactly, oh yeah ya do...

I have seen them at the pool and just exchanged hellos. I have never had a beer with him, I have never seen her anywhere but the pool, and can tell you that they have never bothered me. Till just a few nights ago.

I heard some heavy talking on Sunday night and a door slam here and there when they were supposedly arguing. I live in a place where I can hear the conversation on the other side of the wall, the toilet flush, and also him whistle (which is done often). So, back to Sunday night when all the action was happening. He or she decided to leave and I think that it was him because she was yelling so loud that I could hear it very clearly on Sunday.

Monday came and went and I heard nothing. Tuesday the sparks started again. It was loud and they were arguing a lot. The door to the bedroom was slammed, the bathroom was slammed...the voice levels were higher and it wasn't time for lovin, thats for sure.

The front door slammed, and then about 3 minutes later the front door shut again and the race to recover the other had started.

Anyways, the moral of the story is when you see your neighbors spooning in the same lounge chair at the pool and being all lovey dovey around the patio and hot tub, don't think that the relationship is all that it is put out to be. It surely isn't.

In the end, I am glad that I am moving. It will be one less headache and bad porn show that won't have to listen to.

THERE'S MORE...

When the neighbors moved in, they placed many good boxes from their purchases at the door of the trash. I scooped them up knowing that I may be moving soon. I stored those boxes for a while needless to say. I was getting ready to pack a box that they left and was surprised at what I saw. I also know that there is another box that I need to take a picture of that show what someone will spend on cook ware. I love to cook, and Mark (neighbor who thinks that he is America's top chef and isn't) has some nice cook ware and I will rant on that soon enough. So, here is the box and the pictures that go along with it.

Who the fuck spends $100 bucks on a trash can? Now I now why their is trouble in paradise...

A Labor filled....Labor Day

I had an interesting day this Labor Day....

First off, I have a problem that I need to get off my chest. I am honest when I say this, I am addicted to sitting in EVERY chair in the F'ing store in case I want to buy one. I will have a half a dozen chairs in my new place and I only have one set of ass cheeks...What's a man to do?

Here is my new love.....

If you don't follow my blog, yesterday I discovered that I needed to return the 2nd box of 2 from a new bed frame that I purchased at IKEA. I was ready at 9 am and headed to IKEA to exchange the box that had the broken pieces...I made a call to the Customer Service Department who told me that they had 17 in stock (yesterday). Today when I show up, Tanya decides to tell me that they had 2 in stock and that usually means that they are on display. Um, no-I don't think so, but these days anything is possible. I decided that while I was there to get other things, I would check. There were at least a cool dozen left and she was clueless.

I made it home and put the bed together and it looks great. I had a hand from a very hardworking friend that I am surprised hasn't shot me yet about my move and some of the upcoming events that are happening in my life. I appreciate the support and the help. Thank you.

The other part of my day was with Chi Chi...he is a "Labor" of love. I was moving some pieces around the apartment and he decided that he wanted some attention and started flying to me while I was moving things. He is lovable when he wants to be, otherwise he is just his spoiled little self.

I also listed some white dress shirts that I didn't need for free on "CL" (Craigslist) and "Jerry" picked them up tonight.

Overall it was a productive day and I am excited to get through tomorrow and rest up for the home stretch of the week leading to my move on Saturday and Sunday.

I have something else that I found interesting today about my neighbors, and I will share that tomorrow (still shaking my head). Come back tomorrow and follow the trials and tribulations of "1 Cup H/P."

I made it...missing just 3 days since April 1st, I am at 200 posts.

My upcoming move is building speed like you can't believe. Make any analogy you want, but I have HELL week coming up. It is starting tomorrow. I ran into a minor road block this morning when I went to put my new bed frame together. It was cracked and I am going back to IKEA tomorrow.

I also decided that I had some things that I could do without and listed them on www.craigslist.org again and sold a piece of furniture tonight to a woman that was from India. I find it VERY interesting why people change their names and what their names were before you chose the one that you have. This woman was in her mid 20's and was with a male who's name was "Rickey" (odd name for an guy from India). Her name was Winnie....yes Winnie, and unfortunately she was beautiful and the name just didn't go. Do you ever ask yourself that when you meet someone from the West that has a name like "Shirley?" I know I do because I want to know what makes people choose...

It made me think of this post that I did on April 15th (tax day)... now this is a woman that I love...how sweet deja' vu is when you see something that reminds you of days past.

Today was another day that included a run to IKEA and Wal-Mart for my upcoming move. I found a few things that I liked and also felt like I had a kid attached to me all day. Oh! I did have one-he was by my side all day, hanging, holding my hand, and TALKING and TALKING all day...

We were about 2 hours into the trip and this kids mouth didn't stop moving. It didn't have food in it and I figured that he would have a sore jaw and the words would dwindle down to almost nothing. Nope. So before we made it to lunch his mom turns to him and says "Koby, I have a headache, please eat these!" He proceeds to FILL his mouth with around 9 peanut M&M's.

What a great temporary solution to a chatty kid...I hope his jaw is as sore as my body.

Today started yesterday. What I mean by that is, last night I accepted my delivery that I won on Ebay. I have wanted one, and won an auction for a Bluetooth headset. This headset retails at Cingular and on some websites from $79.99 to 109.99. I scored this one on eBay for $36.01 shipped. The headset came from CA, and I opened it up and read all the directions. It said that I needed to charge it for 2 hours. Done. Then it said that I needed to press the button so that it was a "solid" color and was able to "pair" with my Blackberry. Neither was happening. So, I decided that I would bring it to Cingular and have them take a look at it. It was defective and wouldn't pair with my phone or theirs. They also said that their wasn't anything that they could do for me until the Asst. Manager stepped in. He said that he wanted to swap it and said that he could but needed it to charge for a few minutes. He asked if I was in a rush and I said that I had nothing to do until he was done. Done. Thank you Cingular and I appreciate the help. This was a good lesson in Customer Service for Jose as well. Remember, you can ALWAYS do something for the customer, especially if the product is something that you carry...

This brings me to my next situation, I bought this chair already at IKEA and it is called the POANG Chair. If you haven't sat in one, try it out and you will buy one. I just bought a red one that is on the top left, I bought another one on Craigslist tonight for $25 bucks. That is 75% off the original price. I have one issue, it came with a blue cover and I was thinking that I would get your opinion on what you all like in regard to color configuration.

#1 I would like to wish a Happy Birthday to a wonderful woman, Mother, and a friend today. I wish we were together for your special day.

#2 Because of the hostile take-over of my place (kidding) the Bloggo (that is condo committee) has appointed a new ruler... His name is Chi Chi and he will be taking over for Humanity and Profanity. They have moved on because she was laying eggs and he was just a horny fucker.

Thank you very much for your call yesterday. Unfortunately, it was at 8 a.m and I was still dreaming of my weekend plans and tangerine dreams. I would like to say the wrath that you experienced from Mr. 1 Cup isn't normal.

You asked why a certain incident had happened and I said that if I have to explain myself for the 7th time, I am going to walk across the street and withdraw my $$ from your bank and put it in either Chase or Citibank because YOU DON'T LISTEN. I said I have explained myself 7 times and you still can't admit that you are accountable. Ms. Carter, I wanted to let you know that all my years in sales lead me to believe that you are in need of a refresher course. For instance, when a customer (me) is speaking and explaining what the circumstances are around the problem, YOU DON'T HAVE TO RAILROAD ME WHEN I AM SPEAKING... also, you don't have to keep saying excuse me, excuse me, excuse me...what the fuck is that. I actually thought that I was speaking first and you were calling to HELP ME out of your mistake.

After coming close to stabbing myself with a sharp kitchen knife, I decided to set you straight. I told her that she should look into the notes with the last person I spoke with (Nicole) who indicated that she would look into the issue and return my call in 3 days. So, with some uncomfortable silence (10 seconds) Ms. Carter decides that this would be a great time to take a sip of her SLURPEE...and when I mean the SLURPEE, I mean when the straw hits the bottom and there isn't anything left and you can hear it in the next zip code. Are you kidding me?

Ms. Carter, I hope your father isn't Coach Carter because you didn't pay attention to being a team player. What part of Customer Service Training did you nap through with drool dripping into those 52DDD's? I bet you sat in the back, huh? I have said that your job may be hard, and compared to what you get when you walk in the lobby of one of your branches, you are not quite fit for that lobby and I would say that you should take a look at working at Costco or Sam;s club where they have positions with limited interaction with the public.

So, go ahead and get your Timberland's and your working gloves and throw in the towel at Bank of America and head over to Sam's Club. Have your blind supervisor call me and I will give you a reference for your new position.

In closing, I am very sorry that you received the wrath of 1 Cup, but you really deserved all of it and I did have a nice day yesterday despite your complete incomprehension in your current position. I haven't had a renter in a while and I decided that I would put the shack up for bid. I only charge 15 credits and it's more for exposure than anything for a blog that I like.

Well..I found her. She reminds me of something as well.... Her blog is called "The Evolution of Gina", but it isn't about seeing her go from diapers to adulthood in one mere swoop. She has a keen sense of writing style and is addicted to blogging.

Her name reminds me of when I was a teenager........saying "Damn Gina!!" That is my Martin Lawrence reference for the decade.

Today I am meeting my best friends' mom for dinner. I am looking forward to seeing her. She is in my area for a conference this past week and called me to let me know she would like to see me. I am delighted to meet up with her. She is from the South and lives on a sandy beach. I have been asked repeatedly to come down and put my feet in the white sand and stay for a while. Today, I am going to ask her if I can come down for a month..LOL

I am not sure where we are eating, but I think that I am in the mood for an apple martini.

I am all pumped up...I slept well last night because I was tired from people coming and going from my "online moving sale and all.. But today...I've got the Sox and the Yankees for the first of 5 at Fenway.

The Red Sox brought in some outfield help and a bat with Eric Hinske, (thank god).. and with the sox only 1.5 behind, this series is key. Boston's starter today is Jason Johnson for the fist of the double-header. The game is on ESPN and NESN for all those interested at 1:05 EST.

Today was the day that the gates opened. I am selling my stuff on Craigslist.org and I am having a lot of success. The TV is gone. The Kitchen Table and chairs are gone. The Couch,Loveseat, a few mirrors, and an audio rack are under consideration and being picked up on Thursday. I have the bed, a few chairs, some books and odds and ends to sell, but I have a few weeks to do that. I am glad that the stuff that has left is gone because now I can start new again. I didn't lose that much from what I paid for the items either. So I am pleased that I had 5 people come through the turnstyle and either look or buy. Thank you Craigslist.

Today started early for me. I awoke to the sounds of Humanity and Profanity & of course Chi Chi...(fuckers) but it was good that they were loud and I also had my wake up call too. I was glad to be heading to the Dr. because of some recent changes in my care and some changes in what has been happening.

I got up, dressed and out the door without a hitch. I drove to the office, parked and used the elevator at the hospital. All without a hitch. I opened the door to the office and I was greeted to "Hello Handsome...." What are you doing here? I was here to see Dr. X. She said, "not today, he isn't in today-but he'll be back tomorrow.(Shit) Great, I knew it couldn't have gone that smooth. No traffic, no complications until I turned the handle...and then these words followed, "your appointment is for Tuesday, not Monday."

She finally said, "She your smiling face tomorrow..."

I really though that I was at Dr. House's office or something, because he is so sarcastic and has that same slapstick humor as the lady at the front desk of my Dr. office. Oh yeah, and I can't wait till House is back on the air. Hurry up already!

I have lost it after that "blank" office visit....

This morning, the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has heightened the security level with immediate effect. In planning your travel, we strongly suggest you be prepared for several extra hours of wait time at airport security and even be prepared to check all carry-on bags. Please monitor the TSA website (www.tsa.gov), your airport website and the ATA website (www.ata.com) on a regular basis for the latest updates.

Additionally, please be aware, due to this heightened security level no liquid or gel is permitted in sterile areas through screening check-points or to be in accessible property or on one's person, except:

1) Baby formula, breast-milk or juice if a baby or small child is traveling.
2) Prescription medicine with a name that matches the passenger's ticket.
3) Insulin and essential other non-prescription medicine.

Restricted liquid and gels include beverages, shampoo, sun tan lotion, creams, toothpaste, hair gel and other items of similar consistency.

**When I read this the first thing that came to mind was I would have bad hair, bad breath and I would be burnt to a crisp if I was going anywhere sunny.

#1 I hate when someone tells you to write a letter requesting something and they don't respond promptly. WTF?

#2 I have found a new place to lay my head at night.

#3 I found a great refrigerator for my new place. It will come in handy so I won't have to go up and down stairs just for a drink...

#4 I shopped in a store today that I have never been to and didn't know ANY of the "brand names" in the store...

I have to admit, I like it when Asshats leave comments and leave them "anonymously" because they either are sporting a very small set of balls, or are as flat as an "A" cup'd hooker. I mean if you have something to say, SAY IT.

It isn't that hard to be an ass in the society that we live in, just that their are differences in how we do them.

Don't be an ass when someone posts something that they feel is either funny, of from the heart.

Well today was an interesting day...

I was given some information that will change my life a little. I was told that I needed to move out of my place that I really love. It will worked out because I didn't want to renew my lease at the end of the year. The good news is that I won't have to deal with a 6% increase in my rent, and the bad news is that I physically hate moving. I will be deciding what I am selling and moving on without.

Red Sox just never quit...

Let me set the stage for tonight. I went to a friends house who is just as big a Red Sox fan as I am and watched the game together. We ordered pizza, swapped statistics...you know the manly thing to do while watching a game with a fellow fan. We switched between the Red Sox and the Phillies game and were looking to see if Chase Utley extended his hitting streak to 34 games. He has with a single to the pitcher in the 9th after going 0-4.

As far as the Red Sox go, they have lost Trot Nixon and Jason Varitek in the past few days to injuries and need the guys off the bench to step up. I was hoping for good things from Willy Mo Pena and he has delivered. He has 2 homeruns in the past 2 games and is pictured below with his blast tonight. Way to go Willy Mo!

Sox win 6-5 in the bottom of the ninth for the 2nd game in the last 3.

During Tuesday nights loss to the Indians, the Fenway crowd had some thing to take their minds off baseball. It was this little guy that made it from 1st to 2nd during the game.

At what extent will you go to flirt?

I bring this up because one of my daily reads is the blog at "Wired" magazine. It has some great links and it also has some great responses to the topics that are written about. I am a fan of the "Sex Drive Daily" for more of the content,(np pics) than the links. Well, I was reading the archives there (because the site is addictive) and came across a link for people who want to "Flirt in Traffic..."

I would think that with all the crazies that are on the road that "Flirting in Traffic" could be dangerous to the common driver. Nope not with this tool to become recognized. The site "Flirting in Traffic" gives you options to sign up free and also get a sticker for your car with your "ID" so that other flirters can see you and "ID" you. I think it is pathetic in a way, but a fun concept as long as you live in L.A, Boston, NY, or any large city. I would think that this wouldn't be that effective in say...Montana?

Remember, hands at 10 and 2 and why not just say "Hi" the next time you are interested in someone.

So, today I think I saw the Heatmiser... I really don't think that 97 was hot enough with the heat index well over 100. I really think the tide wasn't as high as it was supposed to be, because the ocean was evaporating right before my eyes...

While I was walking on the beach I was amazed that this was happening.

The Red Sox took 2 out of 3 in Oakland and are coming back to Fenway with just a game and a half lead in the AL East. Below you will see the upcoming 5 games and the previous 5 with scores included. The Yankees played a seesaw of a game last night against a feisty Texas Rangers team. The Rangers looked like they had the "W", but Jason Giambi put an end to that thought with a 2 run home run to cut the Sox lead from 2 games to 1 1/2 in the East.

A Sausage Addition...

or addiction. I love a good cheddarwurst, or a spicy sausage. I also like baseball and mascot's like the ones in Milwaukee.

If you have ever been to a Major League game, I am sure that you have seen the mascot. Well, in Milwaukee they have the 4 mascots. They are all sausages of some type, a hot dog, an Italian sausage, a Polish sausage, and a bratwurst. On Thursday the Brewer's are bringing out a 5th sausage to join them, the Chorizo. (their are no pictures available.)

I know that fans in Milwaukee won't forget this moment.

No Sausage protection available in 2003.

The four sausages were enjoying their usual race in 2003 when Pittsburgh Pirates player Randall Simon clubbed the Italian sausage with his bat. The sausage tumbled and also took out the hot dog. This was not viewed as a joke in Milwaukee, and Simon was taken to jail after the game before being released and fined $432.

Long live the sports mascot, and when pictures are released -- I will post the results of the race that happens on Thursday night on Friday.

In the food lab today...

Let me start from the beginning. I hated avocado. That was till I had it on a salad and that was what changed my mind about avocado. So, the other day I was at the market and I bought 2 of them and I read that to ripen a avocado, you should put it in a brown paper bag for a day or 2 and you should be good to go. Anyways, this was great and I will walk you through making this concoction that will please the palate.

First you want to have a cutting board, knife, and butter.

Then you will want to remove the pit of the avocado, toast a square bagel and butter.

The next step is to take the knife and make cuts the long way and across the avocado. Then remove them for placement. Their will be some left over pieces, and we'll talk about them in a minute.

After placing the avocado pieces on the bagel square, I enjoy putting pieces of the avocado on my Lay's BBQ chips and eating. I could eat that all day. You will see the spoon in the picture and that is for scraping the inside of the avocado and placing whatever is there on a chip.

*Optional, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and enjoy.

This would also make a nice party dish where you could cut the bagel into 9 pieces and serve.

I was invited to a friends house to watch the Arturo Gatti vs. Carlos Baldomir fight on HBO last night. I was glad that he called because I actually forgot and was enjoying a superb dinner and indulged in the left-over's tonight as well. (sorry no pictures)

This was a fight that seemed as if you could've watched the last minute of each round and it was a brawl from there. Gatti (L) was to overpowered but did have some nice punches in the later rounds. It was a little to late, as you can see- Gatti got his ass kicked.

By the way, the only way that you could tell the 2 apart was the color of the gloves. Black and White.

I saw the tank get filled for over $30 bucks worth of gas...

It started out with a little exercise this morning. It was a great work out. After that, I fed Chi Chi and Humanity and Profanity. I love those birds and they are look so good compared to when I picked them up. I am pleased, but all they do all day is beep, beep, beep....etc..

I decided that I would tag along for the ride to Target and return a pair of swim trunks that I bought because the 2 others that I have will do. So we ventured to the store, and we both headed to the Customer Service area. I let the woman know that I had a return and wanted a merchandise credit. She said that the item would be worth $14.99 instead of $17.99. I was thinking that they were marked down and that would have been fine. EXCEPT...She said that because I didn't have the receipt TARGET TAKES THE PRICE DOWN 3 DOLLARS! WTF?

Then she said that I could only exchange it for another piece of merchandise in the men's department. I am still confused. I bought this at the same store, when I went to the men's dept. the price was still $17.99, and I never wore the swimsuit! So... Why should I only be able to exchange it from that dept? I was really baffled.

On my way out, I had some coffee that I like, and 2 bags of chips. Oh yeah, and the new hat from the mens dept! I still can't answer why I couldn't exchange the trunks for say... frozen OJ from the food dept.

The same woman showed me the screen that said, "Customer with no receipt (-$3.00)." and then rang me up while I stood there and shook my head the entire time.

Please be aware of this and consider this a public service announcement for anyone that shops at TARGET.

In regard to dinner, I wanted to add this little contraption that I am sure you will enjoy.

It's called Dirty Rice, Avocado, and Tostito's Scoops.

This is what it looks like, and all you have to do is have a pound of beef, dirty rice mix, an avocado, and a bag-o-chips. When finished, take the chip drop a piece of avocado in it and then top with rice and eat. Finish with a sip of red wine and you will want this for dinner every night.

I will say this... I have never grown tomatoes in my life. I have no idea why I chose them, but I am very surprised things are working out. Here are a few pictures that I took this afternoon. The first one, I played with the features on Picasa, but they are really that green in the 2nd picture.

The "Tomato Big Boy's" are going to be coming soon, and they are to be 1-2 lbs each. I hope I get a few nice ones from that plant. That plant is about 2 1/2 feet tall and it was around 5 inches when I bought it. Genius I tell ya!

I will say that I am no different than 99% of the men that exist. I think that Maria Sharapova is great looking. She does have a few things going for her 1) she is 6'2" tall (sweet), 2) she is a great athlete, and 3) she has great work ethic.

Prediction Friday...

I was thinking of some of the predictions that people are making on the radio and who will be where when October comes in Major League Baseball. Here are my predictions for the American League and the National League.

The Al East will produce the Wildcard for the playoffs. The teams that will come from there are the Red Sox, and the Blue Jay's. I am predicting a late season meltdown by the Yankees. The Jay's and the Bronx Bombers may have to play a playoff game for the Wildcard.

The winner in the AL Central will be the Tiger's. Jim Leyland has the key to the furnace and he has lit a fire under the Tiger's this year.

I am also taking Texas in the AL West.

Red Sox, Blue Jay's, Tiger's, and the Ranger's.

In the National League we know it isn't going to be the Cubs, that is for sure. This is what I see in the NL.

In the NL East, METS, METS, METS!!!

In the NL Central, it will be the Cardinal's under Tony LaRussa.

In the NL West, I am looking for the Dodger's and former Red Sox Manager Grady Little to take home a pennant, and the Padres to be the Wildcard.

Big Up's to the Reds, it will happen, I just don't think it's this year.

All-Star close up...

I watched last nights All-Star game and I seemed as if I was in a trance for most of the game. I was waiting for the big play. The play that determined the MVP and also the play that would break open the game. I was watching contently for what would happen late in the game. Being a Red Sox fan, I was hoping the AL would win.

It was close all night score wise, but Vlad Guerrero's home run was a starter of great plays. I was also impressed with plays at first by David Ortiz, who is a DH and only plays during inter-league play. He made a great scoop for an out at first despite his lack of defensive play throughout the season.

The other play that I was impressed with was the bare handed play at first by Albert Pujol's for the National League. (Pictured below)

All-in-all, it was another year that the American League took the All-Star game and secured home field advantage for the World Series.

The MVP for the mid summer classic was Michael Young after driving in 2 with a clutch triple. That triple put the AL ahead 3-2 and secured the win.

Any thoughts on the classic?

I had a chance tonight to head to a car meet and greet. Basically, you drive in and park, pop the hood and walk around and see some of the other cars that attended. It was a fun event, I arrived at the middle part of it and had a chance to look at some nice cars because it was open to all makes and models.

Do you remember when you were younger and you looked the other way and you ran into something with your bicycle and it happened in flash? It happened to me yesterday while having a normal conversation with a 6 year old.

CONTEST!!!!

This Monday evening the MLB Home Run Derby will take place. I like nothing better than seeing the long ball leave the yard. So, what better way to celebrate baseball's mid summer classic than with a contest.

Here are the contestants as of now. Players will be added and subtracted up till the last minute of the contest. If your choice isn't here and is in the Derby, please pick that player if you want. Updates will come as soon as I receive them on who is taking part.

Here are the rules.

#1. Pick a player that will win the Derby. (all player links are above if you click on them for stats)

#2. Tell me how many homeruns he will hit.

#3. Winner -- wins 100 BE Credits! If you guess exact (player+ # of HR's), 50 Bonus Credits will be added!

(Tie breaker will be 100 credits divided by the # of winners.)

I was in a trance. I have been in this trance for weeks.

I stare in the cabinet and look night after night at the same can, over and over again. I want it, then I put it off. I have been an idiot. I was starring at this can thinking that it was to hot for soup and putting if off... dumb move.

I have come to find out that my cabinet was really the "soup nazi."

If you like it hot and spicy, get a can of Campbell's Chicken and Sausage Gumbo and you won't go wrong.

(1 Cup is a huge fan of "Seinfeld", and the Soup Nazi episode.)

After a nice afternoon out with a few beers...and some Fish & Chips, I was a happy camper yesterday. I took my meds for my mouth and jaw, and actually just felt a little tired after drinking 2 Guinness. This morning, I was feeling a lot better. I am sure that they are doing the work they were set out to do (make me feel better!).

But the meal was awesome!

Today I am going to take a nap...and relax for a while (after the Sox game).

I am headed to watch the Red Sox and see if they can take the series 2-1 in the rubber game @ Florida...

Prescription Medications and Beer...

Yesterday was a bad day, it started out that I split a half a Vicodin the night before and put the unused half on a napkin on the counter. When I woke up yesterday, my mouth was killing me and I though that the half of the 800 mg ibuprofen was on the napkin... I was wrong. I got them mixed up and yesterday morning I took the WRONG one...! I took the Vicodin and was a space shot all day. I know it was just a half, but still. I made it to the dentist and then referred to the oral surgeon (still a douche') (and a story for later) who gave me my prescriptions and sent me on my way.

I tried to sleep after all that yesterday and I couldn't. I feel so much pressure in my mouth and jaw that it feels as though it is going to explode. Then I was reminded that I was heading out later today for dinner and some drinks when I was told that the prescription for the antibiotic shouldn't be taken with alcohol...so I decided to look it up and I found 3 answers.

Here is one of them:

Question: What are the effects of
drinking alcohol while on a 500 mg (3 times a day) of Amoxicillin, if there are
any at all?
Answer: Minimal.

This question and answer wasn't from me, it just showed that I will have a beer tonight and hopefully fell better.

I have a major toothache and I wanted to let the world know, so I wouldn't miss a day of posting.

In 1986, I can still remember the day as if it was yesterday, when the ball went through Buckner's legs and the Red Sox lost the World Series. As a baseball fan those memories aren't talked about, they are just stored away. It is the 2004 team that makes you realized that there are good things to those who wait, I am just glad that I didn't have to wait 86 years before I could see another championship. I didn't, my brother didn't, my nephews didn't, and my parents didn't either. For that night in October 2004, I am at peace with the past.

In the present, the Red Sox are on a tear. They have won 11 straight, and took care of Pedro Martinez's return to Fenway with a 10-2 win last night at the old ball yard. It was a shock because Pedro still has some electrifying stuff. His change-up is killer and will drop off a table and batters miss it most of the time. His fastball isn't like it was in 1999 when he was the MVP of the All-Star Game and was throwing heat in the upper 90's. Those days are gone for Pedro.

In a tribute to the past, the Red Sox honored the World Series of yesteryear by bringing some of the old players back. Wade Boggs was one of the players in attendance. I was a huge Boggs fan and was more than pissed off when he decided that he would join the pinstripes and take the bus down 95 to NY. In my opinion, he was a great clutch hitter for the Sox and will always look great in white.

Curt Shilling will go for #12 in a row tonight against Tom Glavine at Fenway.

In other baseball news, our thoughts and prayers go out to a baseball writer and broadcasting legend and a member of the Hall of Fame, Peter Gammons. Gammons was on his way to the gym when he pulled over and called his wife and said that he wasn't feeling well. He was medflighted to a Boston hospital where he underwent surgery for a brain aneurysm. Peter is 61 and is expected to make a full recovery.

Today I feel tired, but it is getting better as the day goes on. I decided on a bowl of cereal today and I also shared a dry entree' for the King-Chi Chi. He loved the Honey Bunches of Oats. He was in there for at least 20+ minutes and ate most of the bowl. I think that is going to be a good breakfast for him.

This afternoon, I am going to relax and have a few beers. I bought a six pack of Sierra Nevada and some of the Green Monsters. (Heinekin) Oh, I am so looking forward to this!
